Nashira knew from a young age that she wanted to go into the field of psychology. Drawn by the prospect of helping others and an interest in the human condition, Nashira completed her undergraduate work at her local community college before transferring to Central Washington University to complete her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
While in school, Nashira worked as advocate and peer counselor for survivors of Domestic Violence and Assault and there learned to appreciate the client-centered approach to treatment and intervention. After graduating with her degree in 2015, she was invited to interview and accepted a position as a Behavior Therapist serving clients in the Bay Area. She quickly fell in love with the job and decided to return to school to complete her MS in Psychology with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis. Nashira graduated with her degree in 2018 and obtained her BCBA credential in May of 2021. As a BCBA, Nashira believes that the most important facets of effective intervention are that each client be treated with compassion, integrity, and the highest quality of care possible.
When she’s not working with Teach, Acquire, Thrive, LLC., she can be found quilting, reading a good book, or at the local nursery.
