Emily Xiong

Emily Xiong has been in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) since 2014. She attended California State University of Sacramento as a full time pre-medical student. During this time. she also worked part-time as a registered behavior technician and volunteered at UC Davis Medical Center. Emily worked with clients on the ASD spectrum from 2 to 17 years of age and realized that working in the field of ABA is gratifying and fulfilling. After completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Science with a minor in Biomedical Science in 2017, she immediately applied to Capella University the following year.

Emily graduated from Capella University in the winter of 2020 with a Master’s in Psychology with an emphasis on Applied Behavior Analysis and received her BCBA certification in 2021. Her specialties are in early intervention, independent living skills, self-advocacy, parent training, and implementing PEAK in which she holds a level 1 certification. She loves to learn and is interested in attending a program to pursue an ASSECT Certification in Sex Therapy soon.

Anytime you don’t see Emily glued to the screen working, she is either spending time with her family out of the house, or enjoying her spa day at home.
